THEEE Initiative marks 10 years of Charity in Enugu
Target Health, Education and Economic Empowerment (THEEE) Initiative, a non -governmental organization founded by Sir Victor & Lady U Obi Anadiume from Achi community in Orji River local government area of Enugu state has clocked ten (10) years of philanthropy in Enugu state and environs.
At its 10 years anniversary, over Six thousand (6,000) persons including widows, widowers, indigents , blinds , orphans and vulnerable children as well as Umungbu and Gbalagu families of Enugu Akwu Achi and Amaetiti benefited from different gifts of charity. The charity gifts included rice, tomatoes, wrappers, and cash worth several millions of naira.
According to the Chairperson, THEEE Initiative management committee, Mrs Ifeoma Anyalebechi, the organization has made presentations to improve lives of many people in Enugu Akwu Achi communities , families, Churches , Schools, Musicians and security organizations. She said the borehole drilled by THEEE Initiative founder has served the community for over 10 years.
Anyalebechi informed that men , women and youths of Enugu Akwu communities benefited from over Fifty Million Naira (N50M) interest free revolving loan. She said THEEE Initiative encouraged so many youths by sponsoring them to international sports competition like international football, others sponsored abroad for health care, and grass root football sponsorship as well as funding support to Churches and Schools.
She further said THEEE Initiative has sponsored healthcare for the community through NHIS through Izundu Medical service Oji-River even with a family sponsored to India to access Medicare. She said complimentary feeding cereals and infant milk of high quality and right nutrient composition were shared in the past.
